Snoop Dogg Might Have Confirmed He Took Home $9 Million From Olympic Appearances

The world’s top athletes may have taken home medals from the 2024 Olympics, but Snoop Dogg took home a massive bag instead that has to feel as good as winning all the golds.

Snoop hopped on Instagram Friday to suggest that he took home $9 million from all of his shenanigans in Paris. He reposted a video that broke down exactly what he did in Paris, seemingly confirming the massive amount of money he earned (though it’s still unconfirmed).

“This is the main star of the Paris Olympics. Snoop Dogg, a top rapper, gets over 40 m rubles daily for his presence at the Paris Olympic Games,” the video says. “Snoop also lives and parties in Paris for free, all to bring more attention to the Olympics.”

“Almost every top broadcast features Snoop,” he continues. “He attends all major Olympic events. For 17 Olympic days, he’ll earn nearly $9 million.”

Earlier this month, rumors started surfacing that he was earning $500,000 per day at the Olympics when an X user tweeted, “Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics. From ‘Gin and Juice’ to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics—what a world.”

Snoop’s time at the Olympics was legendary. He kicked off the sporting event by carrying the Olympic torch through a Parisian suburb. “I look at this as a prestigious honor and something that I truly respect,” he said before carrying the torch. “I would have never dreamed of nothing like this.”

The iconic rapper also linked up with 28-time Olympian and former professional swimmer Michael Phelps to hit the pool in Paris. After Snoop revealed his hilarious swimming technique, the duo tried out a “freestyle” of synchronized swimming.

"Mike, you make this look too easy. You see I’m in gold medal condition," said Snoop. "And he’s still in gold medal condition as we speak!"

To close out the Olympics, Snoop Dogg performed “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and then “The Next Episode” with Dr. Dre.
