Billie Lourd Pays Tribute to Late Mother Carrie Fisher on Sixth Anniversary of her Death

  Billie Lourd wrote a tribute post to her late mother Carrie Fisher six years after Carrie’s death. In a Tuesday Instagram post, the Ticket to Paradise star acknowledged the six-year anniversary of her mother Carrie Fisher’s death. Captioning a photo of herself and her late mother together, Billie wrote, “It has been 6 years since my Momby died (feels like 2 but also like 705 at the same time?). And unlike most other years since she’s died, this year, these past two weeks have been some of the most joyful of my life.” Billie and her husband Austen Rydell welcomed their second child, Jackson, on 12 December. Gunna Honored With His Own Day In South Fulton, Georgia.

 

Gunna was officially awarded his own day in South Fulton, Georgia on Thursday (September 16). Styling a suit with shorts, the Young Stoner Life rapper was personally honored by the city’s mayor, William “Bill” Edwards, who handed over a declaration recognizing his achievements.


The proclamation notes Gunna’s success as a rapper, songwriter and fashion influencer after being raised by a single mother with his four brothers, along with giving back to the community and supporting people in times of need.


“Just like the Phoenix, rising above the ashes of adversity, Gunna is committed to giving back to the community that raised him, buffered him, sheltered him and supported him by creating Gunna’s Drip Closet and Goodr Grocery Store which is set to provide students of McNair Middle School with access to free meals, clothing and toiletries for years to come,” it reads.


“Since 2018, through his Gunna Great Giveaway Foundation, Gunna has exhibited his efforts to serve the greater good, by hosting free grocery stores in the community and providing over $100,000 in gift cards to families during the pandemic and supplied thousands of families in Houston, Texas with household items after the 2021 historic winter storms.”


It concludes, “Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council recognizes Gunna for his service to the community, applauds his outstanding contributions to the music industry, acknowledges him for setting a stellar example to the young people in our community and do hereby proclaim, Thursday, September 16, 2021 as SERGIO GIOVANNI ‘GUNNA’ KITCHEN DAY in the City of South Fulton.”


Gunna posted a video and photos of the occasion to Instagram with the caption, “Thank You. #GunNaDAy #SOutHSiDe #DS4.”

    Drake shared that he isn’t too fond of his dad tattoo of his face. See the ink in question that has Drizzy wondering "why you do me like this."
