Kid Cudi Wants to Help Lil Nas X Destroy the 'Homophobic Cloud Over Hip-Hop'

Kid Cudi is extending himself to Lil Nas X. For Time's 100 Most Influential People of 2021 list, published on Wednesday (Sept. 15), Cudi wrote about Lil Nas X and declared his support for the "Industry Baby" artist after the 22 year old tweeted that Black male rappers aren't interested in working with him. "When I saw the tweet about Nas’ album Montero not featuring Black male artists, and he replied that 'maybe a lot of them just don’t wanna work with me,' that made me sad," Cudi wrote. "There’s a homophobic cloud over hip-hop, and he’s going to break that s--- down. We have to stand with him. I’m going to do whatever I have to do to let him know -- you have my support. When we do our song together, however trippy the video is, let’s get sexy with it." Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Returns to Top 10 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales Chart After A Decade

Lady Gaga ’s Born This Way album, released in 2011, returns to the top 10 of Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated Sept. 18) for the first time in over a decade. The set re-enters the list at No. 10 thanks to the Sept. 3 release of the CD and cassette editions of the album’s special 10th anniversary reissue. In the week ending Sept. 9, Born This Way sold 5,000 copies in the U.S. (up 5,251%), according to MRC Data. It sold about 100 copies in the week previous. (All versions of Born This Way, including the original release and the 10th anniversary reissue, are combined for tracking and charting purposes.) Born This Way was originally released on May 23, 2011 and debuted at No. 1 on the June 18, 2011-dated chart. It was last in the top 10 on the July 23, 2011 list. The album was reissued on June 26, 2021 via digital retailers and streaming services with six additional tracks by other artists covering the album’s songs.

Judge Denies Bail For Pop Smoke’s Alleged Killer

According to TSR, a Los Angeles County judge has denied bail to Corey Walker, one of the four teens accused of killing the late Pop Smoke. Walker’s attorney, Christopher Darden, requested bail for his client, but prosecutors filed a response to the motion suggesting that Walker’s case was not applicable for bail based on the letter of the law. Judge Curtis B. Rappe seemed to agree with the state, denying the bail motion for Walker, who will for now remain in custody until trial. Rappe also noted that the case was no longer a capital one. Walker, 20, was the only suspect who was an adult at the time of Pop Smoke’s death. He and three juvenile males are accused of killing Pop Smoke during a robbery in February of 2020.
