YoungBoy Never Broke Again intends to enter a guilty plea so his federal weapons case can be transferred from Baton Rouge to Utah.
XXL reports that paperwork that the outlet obtained states that YoungBoy plans to enter a guilty plea for one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and have the case sent to Utah for further court proceedings.
Last week, YoungBoy’s lawyer Drew Findling submitted the required legal documents to facilitate this move — which makes his situation more convenient since he’s facing multiple criminal charges in Utah.
Back in September of 2020, YoungBoy was arrested for brandishing firearms while shooting a music video in Baton Rouge. When police arrived to the scene, they discovered several firearms — and they also allege that YoungBoy himself had a 9mm handgun.
As for the charges that he’s currently facing in Utah, YoungBoy was accused earlier this year of orchestrating a fraudulent prescription drug ring and faces 63 felonies and misdemeanors.
He was taken in by local authorities while on house arrest for charges that include pattern of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of a dangerous weapon, and possession of controlled substances.
Authorities believe that there are at least 15 pharmacies involved in the crimes, plus three other people that allegedly traveled to different pharmacies with orders from fake doctors for employees to fill out.
In July during a legal hearing that took place on Zoom in regards to his Utah case, YoungBoy’s fans managed to virtually invade the courtroom and show support to YoungBoy by dissing the judge. They called for the system to “Free YB” as well as for Judge Spencer Walsh to shut his b*tch *ass up.”
YoungBoy's next virtual court date is set for Aug. 19 for his Utah case.
