Billie Lourd wrote a tribute post to her late mother Carrie Fisher six years after Carrie’s death. In a Tuesday Instagram post, the Ticket to Paradise star acknowledged the six-year anniversary of her mother Carrie Fisher’s death. Captioning a photo of herself and her late mother together, Billie wrote, “It has been 6 years since my Momby died (feels like 2 but also like 705 at the same time?). And unlike most other years since she’s died, this year, these past two weeks have been some of the most joyful of my life.” Billie and her husband Austen Rydell welcomed their second child, Jackson, on 12 December. They also share two-year-old Kingston. “My mom is not here to meet either of them and isn’t here to experience any of the magic. A date and venue has been confirmed for thec Kanye West and Drake benefit concert for Larry Hoover. On Saturday (Nov. 20), Ye took to Instagram to share a post featuring details regarding the show. “God’s plan,” he wrote in the caption. Written over an image bearing the 70-year-old former Chicago gang leader’s mug, the flyer reads: “Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert: Performance by Ye, special guest Drake.”
The show is slated to take place at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Thursday (Dec. 9). A rep for the stadium confirmed with REVOLT that the concert is scheduled, however tickets are not available just yet. The show marks a musical reunion of sorts for the rappers who recently ended their feud at the request of Larry Hoover Jr.
According to Revolt, Hoover Jr., the son of the Gangster Disciples co-founder, called on Drake and West to settle their differences and come together to support the release of his father in a recent interview with TMZ. “Drake, you’re a leader and leaders make decisions that people follow. And man, this would be big,” Larry Jr. told the outlet in a video interview. “This is like Michael Jackson and Prince, the one we never seen. It’s gon’ be a ripple effect. We need togetherness and peace in this hip hop community. We need togetherness and peace in our communities all throughout the United States. Be the leader and show, lead by example.”
